MADISON, Wis., Jan. 6, 2012 /Christian Newswire/ -- In preparation for the 2012 Olympic year, the news site ChristianInvestigator.com became SteveMcConkey.net. The site receives thousands of hits per day.

The site will continue to provide worldwide news from a Christian perspective, plus provide a track and field news section. 4 WINDS supports this site.

Steve McConkey has appeared on various wordwide radio programs. Also, ChristianInvestigator.com (now SteveMcConkey.net) articles have appeared worldwide in various publications on various issues affecting Christians.

Steve and his wife have been in world-class track and field ministries since 1981. From 1982 through 1992, Steve was a Director/Coach of elite teams. 4 WINDS is headquartered in Madison, Wisconsin.

4 WINDS plans to distribute athlete testimonies before and during the 2012 Olympic Games in London. In the past, 4 WINDS has provided testimonies to major publications.

4 WINDS provided Sports Spectrum magazine the testimony of 2011 World Champion Jesse Williams. Williams, a high jumper, won the Jesse Owens Athlete of the Year award from USA Track and Field. This is the highest award given each year to the top track and field athlete.

Throughout the year, 4 WINDS will be in touch with the athletes as they train and travel to various events before the Olympics.

During the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, Olympic athlete testimonies were provided to the underground Chinese church, estimated to be 100 million people. Steve received negative feedback after this.

The four athletes whose testimonies were distributed were supposed to win two medals. All four athletes won medals for a total of three golds, two silvers.

After the 2008 Olympics, Steve began working on getting Craig Virgin in the USA Hall of Fame. Virgin was a two-time World Cross Country champion and a three-time Olympic runner. He was inducted into the USA Track and Field Hall of Fame in December.

Steve is an honor graduate of Western Kentucky University (Masters of Public Health) and Minnesota State University-Mankato (BS-Public Health). He grew up in Northwest Wisconsin and became a Christian in 1976. Steve graduated from Webster High School, Wisconsin.

Steve is in the process of setting up speaking engagements. His message centers around the importance of putting Jesus Christ first by getting to know the Bible. He has spent years studying apologetics and sees a shift in the culture from the simple message of the Bible.
