Chris Muglia's Fourth Album Celebrates Blessings of Family, Life and Faith

Contact: Ben Peterson, OCP, 503-460-5363

PORTLAND, Ore., Feb. 4 /Christian Newswire/ -- Chris Muglia's fourth album, This Is Life, is now available from spiritandsong.com, the contemporary music division of OCP. This latest release--following previous Muglia collections Fight the Fight, Change Your World and Innocence--celebrates the blessings of everyday life, family and faith.

"This Is Life is a solid mix of songs that speak to the heart of Christian living," said Tom Tomaszek, Director of Artist Relations and Product Development for OCP. "Chris reflects on the joys of faith, hope, trust and the importance of seeking God in all ways and relationships."

Inspired by the birth of his daughter Holly, This Is Life is a record aimed at recognizing the spiritual power of family. Muglia's message reminds listeners that God can be found dwelling in the details: the day-to-day, how we deal with hardships, how we appreciate human connections.

Muglia teamed up with Scott Dente and Ken Lewis to produce an album that embodies the intensity of a live concert, with just the right touch of polish. The arrangements and instrumentation are designed to enrich, without overshadowing, the heartbeat of each song: Muglia's lyrics.

"I think the strong melodies and introspective lyrics yield a range of life reflections--each a vignette of faith in action--that challenge listeners to their own reflection on what is most important in life," said Tomaszek. "Chris's travels and parish missions have provided a depth of experience that informs these creative insights into life in Christ."

The title track captures the very essence of the album, recognizing that the most ordinary moments are often the most profound. "How Could I Want Anything More?" is a dedication to Muglia's wife for her openness to life and for making their family possible. A piano ballad, "I Need a Savior" finally fulfills one of Muglia's longstanding wishes: a song featuring an orchestra of strings.
