Contact: Vikki Wells, 800-843-5622 ext 2

DALLAS, Jan. 4, 2011 /Christian Newswire/ -- International speaker Thelma Wells is hosting a double "Lift Up Your Praise!" conference on Monday January 17, 2010 (Martin Luther King Holiday). The adult session will be held from 9:00 a.m.- 3:00 p.m. at the Palace Arts Center 300 S. Main Street in Grapevine, Texas. The "Super Kids" session will be held at the same time in the adjacent Lancaster Theater, which is in the same building.

Mrs. Wells will spend the day teaching participants why it is important to make praise and worship a part of their every day life. "In the battles we fight today, it is significant that praise and worship be a part of that battle," Mrs. Wells explained. "I will teach them how to keep their praise up when everything around them is messing up."

The conference will feature different style praise singers from hymns, traditional gospel, contemporary gospel, acapella and instrumental worship without words. "Praise and worship is a personal intimate communication with God," Mrs. Wells explained. "There is no right or wrong way to do it. I want participants to experience different styles of worship.

"In honor of the Dr. Martin Luther King holiday, I would like participants to invite someone of a different race or culture to the conference. I want to break down barriers between cultures, denominations, preferences in worship and anything else that holds us hostage from being able to worship God."

Worship leaders throughout the day include Lisa Pierre, David Mallory, Cathey Sparks, Jim Wilson, Val Dacus with her signer Lisa Smith and harpist Heather Cullins.

Children will only be allowed to attend the "Super Kids" praise session if their parents are signed up for the adult conference. Their day will be filled with drama, story, and praise activities plus lunch. International Ministry Director Sonja Samuel will lead the kids' conference.

Those interested are encouraged to sign up on line for both conferences at rtwgrapevine2011.eventbrite.com.

Tickets to the adult conference are $15.00. You can get discounted tickets if you purchase tickets for a buddy at the same time for $13.50. Tickets to the children's conference are $10.00. If a family has more than three children, they won't have to pay more than $30.00 for all the children to attend.
