MEDIA ADVISORY, Dec. 5 /Christian Newswire/ -- Historical fiction author, Tricia Goyer seeks to preserve Veteran's stories of their service to our country through a national campaign. She hopes to encourage friends and family members of Vets to capture their stories before it's too late.

According to the Department of Veterans Affairs and Arlington National Cemetery statistics, about 1,200 WWII Veterans will pass away every day. The youngest WWII veteran is 80 years old. In another 5 to 10 years, most WWII Veterans will be gone. The need to catch and preserve their stories is immediate.

Goyer knows the importance of recording our hero's stories. Her four WWII novels, The Liberator Series, were all based on true events told to her by Veterans as she traveled across the country to Veteran's Reunions. The Veterans were so enthusiastic she found herself inundated with more stories than she could use. In 2006, she launched a website to share some of those stories with the world: www.triciagoyer.com/ww2stories. More information about Goyer can be found at: www.triciagoyer.com.

The Interview-A-Vet campaign asks people to interview Veteran's about their war-time experiences. Goyer is accepting audio/video and/or print interview submissions, as well as, photocopies of photos and other war memorabilia. In exchange, she's sending everyone who participates one or two of her novels, depending on participation levels.

These submissions may be added to the WW2 website, published on one of Goyer's blogs, or could possibly inspire a forthcoming novel. The campaign will run from Dec. 7, 2008 - March 31, 2009. Submissions can be mailed to Tricia Goyer, P.O. Box 5720, Kalispell, MT 59903.
