Maryknoll Magazines Focus on Centennial of the Maryknoll Sisters' Congregation and its Dedication to Mission Around the World

Christian Newswire/ -- The centennial celebration of the Maryknoll Sisters' Congregation and its dedication to mission around the world is the theme for the November-December issues of "Maryknoll" magazine and the Spanish-language "Revista Maryknoll." Both magazines are published by the Maryknoll Fathers and Brothers, the foreign mission society of the Roman Catholic Church in the United States. An article written by Sister Janice McLaughlin, president of the Maryknoll Congregation, provides a general overview of the mission of the Maryknoll Sisters during 100 years of service throughout the world. As the Maryknoll Congregation comes to the close of its centennial commemoration, both magazines feature a variety of articles about Maryknoll Sisters from yesterday and today. These include the story about four young women from three nations (Tanzania, El Salvador and Kenya) who recently completed final vows to make a lifelong commitment of service to the Maryknoll Congregation.
