DALLAS, March 22, 2012 /Christian Newswire/ -- For the first time ever, TheCall, an organization convening hundreds of thousands for assemblies of prayer, will host the TheEstherCall, a national all women's pro-life event, in Dallas, from April 5-6. Bringing attention to the more than 54.5 million American babies aborted since Roe v. Wade, the two-day event will amass women for a giant prayer meeting, asking God to heal past wounds and empower American women in a pivotal election year.

Kicking-off Thursday, April 5, women will hear from TheCall's Co-Founder Lou Engle and women leaders on the Biblical figure Esther and the dramatic role she played in saving a nation. "Using Esther's example, women will be encouraged to pray for the grace and strength to speak to the issue of life, and to ask for anointing and authority as they stand for justice," says Engle.

According to Gallup, the majority of Americans (51 percent) believe abortion is morally wrong. The rally not only takes place in an election year but leads up to U.S. Supreme Court hearings on the constitutionality of President Obama's health care reform, including the argument on full contraceptive insurance coverage allowing abortions beginning at conception.

"The time is now for mothers, daughters, sisters and grandmothers -- the Esthers of today -- to come together to weep over this national wound and to position our hearts to be healed so that revival will come to America," says Tracy Eckert, director of TheEstherCall.

On Good Friday, April 6, TheEstherCall, pro-life leaders, pastors and supporters will gather in front of the Earle Cabell Federal Courthouse, the birthplace of Roe v. Wade, for a giant communion event also welcoming 39 young women marching from Houston to Dallas on a symbolic prayer journey depicting America's tragic path of abortion. These walkers, organized by the Back to Life Movement (www.backtolifemovement.com), and representing the 39 years of legalized abortion, will have traveled more than 250 miles to where it all began.

Rallying in support of life, women will take part in prayer and communion, standing in the gap for our nation and welcoming the women walkers seeking to end the devastation caused by abortion.

Event registration is free but required for this powerful two-day event.
