LOS ANGELES, June 4 /Christian Newswire/ --  Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN), the world’s largest religious broadcaster and America’s most-watched faith channel, announced Tim and Carla White of Touch Studios, L.L.C. the winner of its INNOVATE contest to discover the best in new and innovative television programs for TBN’s faith-based and family friendly networks.

Tim and Carla White and Touch Studios produced a powerful, yet funny and engaging, 30 minute animated video about friendship and forgiveness entitled “We Stick Together Like Glue” featuring musical instruments that come alive as part of the MusicLand Band. The MusicLand Band characters are faced with dealing with their own emotions as the lead guitar becomes a rock star.

“TBN Networks was looking for an innovative new program for its digital networks.  We found a high-tech, well written, extraordinary animated program that will surely bring a smile to our Smile of a Child viewers, and it’s pretty entertaining for adults as well,” explained Paul Crouch Jr., TBN’s Vice President of Administration. “Our goal was to inspire the best and brightest of producers with ‘INNOVATE: the Ultimate Programming Challenge’ and Tim and Carla White with Touch Studios more than met the challenge put before them.  We look forward to working with Tim and Carla in the future as we move toward airing the MusicLand Band’s “We Stick Together Like Glue” program this summer on our Smile of a Child Network.

“This is an excellent example of how we can encourage producers to create innovative shows that will take Christian television to the next level—a level that will help change the face of our industry by showcasing the next generation of faith-based television right now,” said Crouch. “The animation is superb.  The original soundtracks are awesome. And the voiceover acting is some of the best I have ever heard.”

The White’s Touch Studios is located in Santa Ana, CA, with a mission to “inspire passion, creativity and wonder using excellent, entertaining and fearless products with “chart-busting” music, timeless values, and stunning visuals to touch the hearts and minds of children and parents around the world and inspire them to touch others.”  “We Stick Together Like Glue” also has been awarded the Parent’s Choice “Recommended” Award and carries the Dove Foundation Seal of Approval.

“We are excited to have such a prestigious network like TBN recognize us for the MusicLand Band’s “We Stick Together Like Glue” children’s 3-D animation show,” said Tim White. “Our desire and goal is to reach children and families everywhere with these lovable characters who light up the faces of young and old, sing fun, quality music, and share timeless stories. We are eagerly looking forward to the opportunities afforded by this experience with TBN.”  The White’s goal is to turn the winning episode into a high quality series that will have an impact with kids around the world, and their hope is that this exposure will be the genesis leading to the rest of the MusicLand Band episodes.  To learn more about the project, visit www.musiclandband.com.

The INNOVATE contest was launched just ahead of the National Association of Broadcasters convention in mid April.  Producers were invited to submit DVDs of their programs and they were able to discuss their programs with TBN executives during the convention.
