Angelnook Publishing Signs Frantisek Strouhal to Its Lineup of Divinely-Inspired Artists

Contact: Paul Spremulli, Angelnook Publishing, 401-932-8888

CRANSTON, R.I., Feb. 15, 2011 /Christian Newswire/ -- Angelnook Publishing today announced it is representing photographer and artist Frantisek Strouhal, a Czechoslovakian-born artist who specializes in creating ethereal Bromoil and oil print photographic images.

Strouhal, a divinely-inspired artist, will be part of the Angelnook exhibit at Artexpo New York from March 24-27. Angelnook Publishing was established in 2008 by Rhode Island native Paul Spremulli so that he could share with others his awakening of spirit through fine art and publications.

Strouhal, who now lives in Canada, creates his photographs through a labor-intensive process first used in the nineteenth century. By carefully choosing brush, texture, and lithographic inks, he creates striking images that have both depth and beauty.

Creating prints with the bromoil and oil print method is a laborious process that sometimes requires days of work. Because each print is unique, this remarkable process has allowed Strouhal to translate the language of heart and soul into his pieces. In a world of instant gratification through digital photography, Strouhal has deliberately set out to embrace an art form that transforms ordinary photographs into works of fine art, giving them deeper meaning.

Through oil and bromoil photographic print making, the artist can create a unique print each time, allowing the artist to manipulate an image. In the bromoil process, prints are made on silver bromide paper with a thick gelatin layer sensitized with dichromate salts. The gelatin is hardened, and when moistened, lithographic ink can be applied to the oil base. Though the finished product is a photograph, it has the appearance of a painting, with all the subtleties and interest of a fine piece of art. Strouhal creates both classic pieces, as well as impressionistic works.

Angelnook Publishing represents several artists, all who believe their art is inspired by the divine. The core, nondenominational belief of the artists it represents is that their inspiration originates from the spirit and is not of the self.
