BOISE, Oct. 20, 2011 /Christian Newswire/ -- Don Jacobson, former publisher for Multnomah and author of the newly released "God Makes Lemonade," will be one of the publishing industry experts headlining the second annual Idaho Book Extravaganza on October 28-29, 2011 at The Boise Centre in downtown Boise, Idaho.

Jacobson headed Multnomah for 14 years where he helped launch a number of successful writers, including New York Times bestselling author Max Lucado, and oversaw some runaway bestsellers like Bruce Wilkerson's The Prayer of Jabez.

Five years ago, Jacobson started his own literary agency -- D.C. Jacobson & Associates -- and represents successful Christian thought leaders like new bestselling author Francis Chan. His latest project is a series titled, "God Makes Lemonade," comprised of contributions from writers with stories that "sweeten and inspire."

Jacobson will be one of the main session speakers at IBE, speaking on "Writing to Change: How to write books that will inspire change in your community," as well as a panelist for the workshop entitled, "The Future of Publishing."

The Idaho Book Extravaganza will feature local and best-selling authors, literary agents, publishers, graphic designers, marketing experts, booksellers, and many other industry professionals. The event will be free and open to the public. An All-Access Pass for workshops over two days including hearing Don Jacobson speak is $55 for adults and $30 for students.

The event will also feature 26 workshops for authors, writers, or anyone interested in conducting business within the book industry. This is a great opportunity to learn how to get started on an aspiring writer's first book, expand sales and visibility on a current book, learn from experienced authors and discover new trends in publishing.

The dates and times are Friday, October 28th from 11 a.m.-7:30 p.m. and Saturday, October 29th from 10:30 a.m. - 4 p.m. This event will be held at The Boise Centre at 850 W. Front Street in Boise.
