ST. PAUL, Sept. 4 /Christian Newswire/ -- The Reverend Rob Schenck, president of the National Clergy Council and its lay affiliate, Faith and Action, both based in Washington, DC, has filed several video blog posts today from St. Paul, Minnesota, dealing with the Christian faith of John McCain's  new running mate Governor Sarah Palin of Alaska.

Schenck has been in the Twin Cities this week to attend the Republican National Convention where he sat in last night on Governor Palin's acceptance speech. He had also been present at a campaign event in Dayton, Ohio, last week when McCain for the first time he introduced the governor as his pick. Schenck spoke to both Palin and McCain afterwards.

Schenck posted his blog reports today from the empty VIP family box in the Xcel arena where the McCains, the Palins and their guests will sit during tonight's speech. Schenck's group has also posted a video showing Governor Palin speaking in the pulpit of the Wasilla Assembly of God church where she and her family attended services for years. In it she shares about her own faith journey.

Schenck's site includes a two-way video conversation he had about Sarah Palin's Christian background with long-time Assemblies of God minister and National Clergy Council Senior Fellow for Public Policy Dr. Charles Nestor. In the 12-minute "capture" of their video chat, the two talk about the churches Palin and her family have attended and what they might indicate she believes.

All this material on Governor Palin can be viewed at www.faithandaction.org.

Schenck will attend McCain's speech tonight and post an analysis of it immediately following.
