NASHVILLE, July 7, 2011 /Christian Newswire/ -- Christian television channel NRB Network has partnered with Parables TV to broadcast selections from the movie channel's diverse program offerings. Beginning on July 9th, NRB Network will broadcast movies and documentaries from Parables.TV each Saturday afternoon. A series entitled Life Focus which highlights stories about real people and relevant issues will air on Wednesday nights at 7 pm ET. NRB Network is seen nationwide on DIRECTV channel 378, Sky Angel channel 126 and via live streaming at www.nrbnetwork.tv.
Parables.TV is an entertainment network that features movies, documentaries and series that connect viewers with inspirational stories and messages of hope. Treasure Blind, the first Parables movie to air on NRB Network, is scheduled for Saturday, July 9th at 5 pm ET. On July 16th at 2 pm, viewers can tune in for the first installment of the popular end times thriller, Left Behind. Based on the best-selling novel by Jerry B. Jenkins, the movie stars Kirk Cameron as journalist Buck Williams who must make sense of the worldwide chaos that ensues after the sudden disappearance of Christians from the earth. Future films to be broadcast over the next several weeks include Vanished, Praise Band, In the Mirror Dimly and Dangerous Calling. Each can be seen on Saturday afternoon on NRB Network.
Life Focus, a half-hour series from Parables.TV, debuts on Wednesday, July 13th at 7 pm ET on NRB Network. The show features everyday people and spotlights contemporary issues ranging from childhood obesity to marital infidelity to the dangers of social networking. The first episode entitled 90 Minutes in Heaven tells the story of Don Piper who experienced the glory of heaven after a tragic car accident before being miraculously revived nearly an hour and a half after EMTs declared him dead. Life Focus can be seen each Wednesday night at 7 pm ET.
