Conservative Evangelical Leader Available at RNC in St. Paul

WASHINGTON, Sept. 3 /Christian Newswire/ -- The Reverend Rob Schenck (pronounced SHANK), president of the conservative National Clergy Council in Washington, DC, and chairman of the Committee on Church and Society for the Evangelical Church Alliance, will attend the Republican National Convention in St. Paul and will be available to the media for commentary Wednesday, September 3 and Thursday, September 4.

Mr. Schenck was in Denver for last week's Democratic National Convention and was on the platform in Dayton, Ohio, as a VIP guest of the McCain campaign for the announcement of Sarah Palin as Mr. McCain's running mate. Mr. Schenck spoke to both Senator McCain and Governor Palin about the selection following the event.

Mr. Schenck has been an ordained Evangelical minister for 25 years. He holds the Master of Arts in Christian Ministry from Faith Evangelical Seminary, Tacoma, Washington (www.faithseminary.edu) and has been a public policy activist for 20 years. He has served in his present post with the National Clergy Council since 1994.
