ECFA Announces New Board Members

Three Newly Elected, Two Re-elected; Officers Named

WINCHESTER, Va., March 10, 2011 /Christian Newswire/ -- ECFA (Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability) has elected three new members to its board of directors, re-elected two previous members and announced board officers for the March 2011-March 2012 year.

The new board members are Thomas Addington, president of Brand Villages; Kenneth R. Larson, president of Slumberland Furniture; and Michael Little, president of The Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN).

Lauren Libby, CEO of Trans World Radio, based in Cary, N.C, and Jo Anne Lyon, general superintendent of The Wesleyan Church, based in Indianapolis, Ind., have been re-elected to second terms. ECFA board terms are three years.

Addington, co-founder of the Fayetteville, Ark.-based consulting firm Brand Villages (www.brandvillages.com), has authored many books on leadership and has served on the faculties of two public universities.

Larson is owner, president and chief executive officer of Slumberland Furniture (www.slumberland.com), a leading home furnishings retailer with 123 stores in 11 states. 

Little, a 38-year veteran of CBN (www.cbn.com), also serves as board chairman of The Christian Broadcasting Associates in Canada and is on the board of Operation Blessing International and NorthStar Studios.

ECFA, founded in 1979, provides accreditation to leading Christian nonprofit organizations that faithfully demonstrate compliance with the ECFA standards pertaining to financial accountability, fund-raising and board governance.
