Alma Rivera is not unfamiliar with singing at mega-churches such as the Cross Church, having already led people to the mountain top of praise at Lakewood Church in Houston Texas, Metro Ministries in Brooklyn NY, & the Dream Center(Angelus Temple) in Los Angeles & others.

Towards the end of 2012, Alma was focused with helping those affected by Hurricane Sandy. Even though she herself had lost power to her home, she went to a local church & helped organize people to walk the immediate neighborhood's to find a need and fill it. Those needs were food, go to a local church to get warm, recharge their electronics or receive a loving hug. She also organized a coffee, donuts & love excursion into the hardest hit areas of Long Island so workers & homeowners could take a break from rebuilding to have a warm cup of coffee and receive prayer.
