MEDIA ADVISORY, Sept. 8 /Christian Newswire/ -- On September 14, believers around the globe will embark on a global prayer tour--a month of concentrated prayer for the world led by World Gospel Mission (WGM).

A special edition of The Call, WGM's bimonthly magazine, will lead readers on a global prayer tour, focusing on 30 different countries and areas of ministry. During the 30-day challenge, from September 14 to October 13, readers will join other believers at 12:00 noon (Eastern Daylight Saving Time) each day via conference call to pray for the country designated on that day. One of the individuals on The Call team will lead listeners in prayer.

"This 30-day challenge may be WGM's largest simultaneous prayer effort ever," said Tim Rickel, vice president of Development at WGM, an interdenominational missionary-sending agency. "If you want to change the world, the Concert of Prayer: Encore is a great place to start."

In addition to the magazine, The Concert of Prayer: Encore is open to nonsubscribers at the WGM website. Recordings of the daily prayer times and special podcast episodes are available, which will give listeners a deeper look into various ministries.

"Based on the positive response to last year's Concert of Prayer special edition of The Call, we knew we had to hold an 'encore,'" said Rickel. "I'm excited to see what God does during this time of united prayer for our world."

Formerly known as Call to Prayer, The Call has been in publication since 1919. WGM offers a free one-year subscription to anyone wishing to live a missions-active life.
