NEW YORK, Aug. 2 /Christian Newswire/ --  Odyssey Networks' "Faith at the Gulf", a series of on-the-ground video profiles of local faith leaders responding to the spiritual crisis in the coastal communities of Mississippi wrought by the BP Deepwater Horizon spill, continues this week on www.odysseynetworks.org. Featured in the latest edition is Rev. Harold F. Roberts, pastor of the historic Episcopal Church of the Redeemer in Biloxi.

In the fourth of this series of five video reports, Rev. Roberts focuses on the role of individuals as stewards of the earth and the role that faith must play in changing behavior in order to protect the environment.   "How are you going to move people from fear to a sense that we have a future? I don't think business can do it. I don't think the politicians can do it. I think it's faith-based," he told Odyssey's crew.

Rev. Roberts' Episcopal Church of the Redeemer, which was founded in 1847, has suffered destruction from both Hurricane Camille in 1969 and Hurricane Katrina in 2005. The latest test, the oil spill, has left many parishioners with an even greater sense of helplessness than the great storms of the past.
