FORT ATKINSON, Wis., Aug. 3, 2011 /Christian Newswire/ -- Salty Earth Pictures -- a non-profit ministry located in the small town of Fort Atkinson Wisconsin -- has just had their first Christian film picked up for international distribution this Christmas.

The film - "Journey to Paradise" - was produced last winter in Fort Atkinson Wisconsin using a volunteer production crew and on a shoe-string budget.

The Director, Steve Zambo - had his entire family (5 children) involved as crew, background extras or set builders during the 4 month production. Zambo's wife, Beth even cooked and served food to the cast and crew during the production.

The 2-hour "feel good" Christian holiday based film was co-produced and edited by Frank Datzer a local video producer/editor from Milwaukee, WI. It stars Matt Koester an actor from Los Angeles who flew into Wisconsin for the production, along with a quirky and loveable cast of supporting characters - played by local Wisconsin actors - who all donated their time and talent to the production.

"This was truly a labor of love and faith" said Zambo of the production - "we are blessed to be able to get distribution for our first film and this success is a testament to the hard work and talent we had involved."
