The Bible, a made-for-TV mini-series, is the work of Emmy award-winning producer Mark Burnett, ("Survivor" and "The Voice") and his wife, "Touched by an Angel" star Roma Downey. The couple came up with the idea for the series based on their lifelong love of Scripture and inspiration from the biblical epics such as The Ten Commandments with Charlton Heston.
