WINCHESTER, Va., Jan. 31, 2011 /Christian Newswire/ -- To file accurate 2010 income tax returns and minimize tax bills, clergy must consider many changes from previous years' rules. The Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA) will address these changes in a live, hour-long webinar at 1 p.m. EST Feb. 23.

Registration is open for "Clergy Tax Issues for 2010 Returns," which will feature a pair of leading experts discussing tax changes for clergy. They will review what clergy can expect for the 2011 tax year.

"This ECFA webinar is essential for clergy who need to understand the updated IRS requirements," said Dan Busby, ECFA president. "This session will help clergy file accurate returns that also reduce taxes."

The webinar features two of America's top church experts: attorney and CPA Rich Hammar, who serves as legal counsel to the Assemblies of God denomination and is the author of more than 100 books; and CPA Busby, who is recognized among the nation's top experts in nonprofit money topics, including tax and finance issues for clergy, churches and other nonprofit organizations.

Registration for the webinar is free for ECFA members and $49 for registered users. A recording of the webinar will be available following the session through the ECFA website at no cost for ECFA members and $29 for nonmembers.
