ENUMCLAW, Wash., Jan. 23, 2012 /Christian Newswire/ -- WinePress Publishing is pleased to announce their partnership with author Kristina Clemens for the release of her title, "After Nathaniel." According to the Centers for Disease Control, the number one cause of death for individuals age 1-44 is unintentional injury. Each death represents family and friends left behind, trying to deal with their grief and the confusion of how to move beyond their loss.

When Kristina Clemens was 19 years old, her younger brother, Nathaniel, died in a drowning accident--an event that profoundly impacted her family. Kristina documents her journey through grief in her book, "After Nathaniel."

"After Nathaniel is a personal account of my younger brother's death and the ensuing journey I took through grief to emotional healing. It is a God-help book, both candid and transparent . . . the recall was painful, but the light of healing at the end of the book is redemptive and conclusive."

The counselors told Kristina's family, "Nearly 85 per cent of marriages end following the death of a child." Yet against the odds, Kristina's parents stayed together. She recounts the steps her parents took to maintain their solid marriage and how her family emerged from the aftermath of Nathaniel's death strong and secure.

"What do you do the day after your only son dies? We're gonna get up from here and do what we'd normally do on a Saturday morning. Make the bed. Eat breakfast. Brush our teeth. We're just gonna handle one normal thing at a time. We don't plan on being a statistic."
