PLYMOUTH, Mich., Dec. 11, 2013 /Christian Newswire
/ -- One of metropolitan Detroit's grandest holiday productions is marking its 21st year. The Glory of Christmas 2013, "Paradise Found" tells the story of Christ's life in bold, theatrical fashion with exciting music, full orchestra and choirs, dazzling lights, amazing special effects and powerful videos.
"The Glory of Christmas production is the most time and volunteer intensive event we do as a church. By investing all of our resources into one direction, we are able to put on a Christ-centered production that rivals anything one would see on Broadway," said NorthRidge Senior Pastor Brad Powell. "We spend nearly a year planning and creating this production that we think will leave audiences breathless."
Comments from those attending the first few performances have included:
"Absolutely amazing program that brought me to tears several times during the performance. Well done NorthRidge Church!"
"It was amazing as usual! All you can say is WOW after it's over. Just amazing."
"We attended The Glory of Christmas: Paradise Found this morning. An amazing performance far beyond anything I could have expected. They really outdid themselves!"
By the end of its run this season, The Glory of Christmas will have welcomed over 455,000 patrons since 1992. Tickets are still available for two of the remaining five performances at their Plymouth location.
For Powell, however, numbers are not the significant part of the equation. "We use this huge event to share the story of Jesus in a relevant, appropriate and impacting way. We are not into tradition for the sake of traditions, but we believe this is a great time of year to give the gift of Hope to people.
"We encourage those who attend NorthRidge to invite those in their circle of influence -- family, friends and coworkers -- so that they can hear about the Hope of Jesus."
