NASHVILLE, Jan. 31, 2011 /Christian Newswire/ -- Thomas Nelson, the world's leading publisher of KJV Bibles, will present an extensive exhibit of historic Bibles at the National Religious Broadcasters Convention, February 27-March 1, 2011, at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center in Nashville, TN. "The Living Legacy of the Bible" exhibit is part of KJV400 (www.KJV400Celebration.com), Nelson's unprecedented 400 day celebration of the 400th anniversary of the publication of the King James Version of the Bible.

The exhibit will allow NRB attendees to experience first-hand more than 4,000 years of Bible history, from the time of Abraham to the present day. Artifacts in the exhibit include Dead Sea Scroll fragments, cuneiform tablets, numerous historic Bibles, an original 1611 KJV Bible, and much more.

The event will also feature a six-minute exclusive sneak-peek of "KJB: The Story of the King James Bible," a new film by British filmmaker Norman Stone that dramatizes the birth of the King James Version, narrated by actor John Rhys-Davies.

The exhibit is one way that Thomas Nelson's KJV400 campaign will help people rediscover the impact the Bible has had on our world, and reconnect with the powerful stories behind the most influential book of all time. Focusing on the history, cultural significance, and personal experience of the Bible in everyday life, the celebration will also connect Bible reading and its impact on literacy, and encourage people to put God's Word in action to offer hope and inspiration to others.

The #1 selling Bible translation of all time, the King James Version was first published on May 2, 1611. Unparalleled in its theological, literary, and cultural magnitude, the KJV continues to inspire people from all walks of life and faith traditions.

Spokespersons for Nelson's KJV400 campaign will be on hand at NRB, including David Barton, author and expert on the Bible in American life; David Teems, author of Majestie: The King Behind the King James Bible; Larry Stone, author of The Story of the Bible. Also present will be Ron Wicks, longtime Bible collector, who has lent his expertise as an advisor to the "Living Legacy of the Bible" exhibit, and Bob Sanford, Vice President and Group Associate Publisher for Thomas Nelson's Bible Group. Bob managed the scholar and editorial teams that produced the New King James Version, the official fifth revision of the celebrated King James Version translation's lineage.

The exhibit is not open to the public. NRB media attendees interested in covering the exhibit and arranging interviews with any of the spokespersons should contact Kelly Hughes, DeChant-Hughes Public Relations, for more information: kelly@dechanthughes.com or 312-280-8126.
