ENUMCLAW, Wash, Sept. 29 /Christian Newswire/ -- In a compelling story of love and loss, Pastor John R. Ramsey presents the background story of Samantha, the biblical woman at the well, and chronicles her struggle to find peace through five husbands.

"After years of pastoring, I have seen people struggle to find personal peace," says Ramsey. "Tragically this peace is not found in other people."

Ramsey is the author of "Samantha of Samaria," the story of one woman's journey through the pain and heartbreak of divorce.

"The main goal of 'Samantha of Samaria,'" says Ramsey, "is to get people off the remarriage merry-go-round. The need of the woman at the well and every thirsty woman is healing from God. When we fail to find that healing, we enter a devastating cycle of remarriage and divorce."

For Samantha, it takes an encounter with a special man at the well to start her on the path of restoration and to teach her that Christ is the giver of purpose and meaning.

"Wholeness can only be found in Christ," says Ramsey. "When we look to other people to make us complete, we always end up disappointed. Until we meet that man at the well, all others fall short."

In an age that struggles with the cycle of divorce and remarriage, Pastor Ramsey speaks out with the peace and restoration found in Christ. Through his work as the founding Pastor of Harvest Worship Center in Panama City, Florida, Pastor Ramsey has been able to lead a strong congregation into areas of outreach, including a ministry to those struggling with the issue of divorce. His desire is to help others find the healing that only Christ Jesus can bring.

Pastor Ramsey has been in full-time ministry for twenty-four years and has spent the past eighteen years serving as a pastor. He and his wife Brandy live in Panama City, Florida with their four daughters.
