OVERLAND PARK, Kan., Sept. 13, 2011 /Christian Newswire/ -- Bott Radio Network (BRN) is pleased to announce a big FM power increase coming to Nashville at 89.1 FM, soon to be broadcasting with fifteen times more power! This power increase to 22,000 watts will make 89.1 FM the most powerful Christian-formatted FM station in Nashville and the only one dedicated to Christian teaching and talk programming 24/7.

The new equipment needed for the power increase is now being installed and will be tested over the next few days to ensure the signal is operating properly. Installation and testing will be finalized in late-September, at which time 89.1 FM will begin broadcasting with fifteen times more power around the clock.

In addition to this upcoming, more powerful signal at 89.1 FM in Nashville, BRN serves Middle Tennessee with a full power station at 91.5 FM in Dickson as well as FM signals at 99.5 FM in Clarksville, 93.9 FM in Gallatin and 101.9 FM in Lebanon. Plus, BRN serves all of Middle Tennessee on the AM dial with 50,000 watts of power at superstation 1160 AM in Nashville.

In February of 2011, BRN purchased 89.1 FM from Trevecca Nazarene University and quickly applied for this major power increase from the FCC. Beginning in late-September, this power increase will add thousands of new families to the FM listening area. With a new, more powerful transmitter, antenna and related equipment, 89.1 FM will reach from Nashville to Murfreesboro, Brentwood, Franklin, and everywhere in between.

Bott Radio Network began serving Tennessee 25 years ago in Memphis with 50,000 watts at 640 AM. This BRN station in Memphis serves the Mid-South with the largest coverage of any Christian-formatted radio station in the United States. Last February, BRN launched 5 new FM signals in Nashville and Middle Tennessee, featuring BRN's format of quality Bible Teaching, Christian News and information twenty-four hours a day.
