ENUMCLAW, Wash., June 8 /Christian Newswire/ -- A physical therapy clinic and fitness center owner, Bryan Hathaway combines his Bible knowledge and love for fiction in his new series, "The Guardian Angel Chronicles" (WinePress, 2010). The first book in the series, "David and Goliath," focuses on faith, love, honesty, and character.

The development of his book series resulted from a desire to pass along important life lessons and biblical truths to his children and family.

"I wrote this book initially so my children would understand that there are consequences to both their actions and lack of actions. Actions speak louder than words and these actions are what demonstrate our faith and love for the Lord."

Hathaway created protagonist David Liberty for his story. Lonely and failing in a nursing home, Liberty is visited by an angel who confronts his past and forever changes his future. Liberty is granted a miraculous second chance in life to demonstrate his faith and love for the Lord by helping others in their battle against sin, but without the use of speech.

"Our actions and lack of actions define who we are. Too many times we feel we need to verbally profess that we are a Christian, forgetting that our daily actions provide a witness to all watching."

The recipient of the "Small business of the year award" in 2003, Hathaway speaks at local schools and churches where he focuses on subjects such as: "Winning in sports and winning in life," and "Success after school."

Hathaway's speaking topics are all inspired by tragedies in his own life where he discovered the fragility of life. Bryan enjoys his family and faith, the outdoors, sports, physical fitness, writing music, and a good philosophical debate. Hathaway resides with his wife and four children in upstate New York.
