FREDERIKSBERG, Denmark, July 31, 2012 /Christian Newswire/ -- Recently a journalist filled with tears recounted the riveting life story of Pastor Bent Altschul, how God saved his life from Nazi German gas chambers and birthed in him an end-time message.

SAVED FROM DEATH OF NAZI GAS CHAMBERS
During WWII at age two this Jewish boy was separated from his parents in their desperate attempt to save his life under the nose of Hitler's Nazi army seeking to annihilate Jews in the tragedy of the Holocaust. Two Danish fishermen, risking their own lives, fed him sleeping pills, concealed him in canvas sailcloth, and smuggled him at night from German-occupied Denmark to safety in neutral Sweden, in the bottom of their fishing boat. Raised in orphanages, Bent grew up alone with no parents, no inheritance, and no God. This was the Lord's way to save, what some call "little Moses in a basket," likewise saving young Bent's life for an end-time ministry.

GOD'S TRUMPETING SALVATION CALL
At age 19 Bent met a Christian pastor in Sweden named Evett Von Knorring who took him into his home. Bent asked, "Who is Jesus?" and heard for the first time in his life of a suffering Messiah who lived in the hearts of men. Not long after, a trumpeting sound split the silence of Bent's room with the words; "CAN YOU NOT HEAR I'M CALLING YOU!" Thrown to the floor, face down in tears and consumed with the sound of that voice, Bent received his calling from Him who saved his life. Filled with His presence, Bent received what his life was missing. He now had a heavenly Father, a heavenly family and an eternal inheritance. Bent later traveled to Israel and was baptized in the River Jordan by Slomo Itzak, the private security guard of Israel's former President Ben Gurion.

$100 TURNED TO MILLIONS
At age 28, a one-way ticket to America and only one hundred dollars to his name, Bent was now lead by the Holy Spirit in a continuing progression toward his ultimate calling to ministry. Knowing little English, he learned the college textbook publishing industry including skills of managing large numbers of people and maintaining the integrity of a staff. Bent earned his pilot license, bought a corporate aircraft and started a flight department to meet the demands of heavy schedules with university professors throughout midwestern United States. He found himself walking in God's miracles publishing over 700 titles in various disciplines. His $100 had turned to millions. Bent knew it was God who saved him, God who called him, and God who laid the gifts of perseverance, diligence and faithfulness allowing miracle after miracle. Bent never lost sight of the One who called him and always gave honor where honor was due. These publishing experiences gave him the many necessary tools of operating his future Christian ministry.

GOD IGNITED REVIAL STARTING BENT'S MINISTRY IN 1985
At age 43 Bent's life-long yearning to be in full-time ministry came into fruition when he met Evangelist Ray Bloomfield at a Christian conference in southern California. The evangelist had arrived at the church with an injury he received on his travels in India. He had severe pain in his knee but was afraid of having an operation. Bent was moved to speak to the evangelist after the meeting saying, "I have faith in God, may I pray for you?" The evangelist agreed and Bent prayed a simple prayer; he received a miracle healing. During the next day's meeting Evangelist Bloomfield couldn't help but proclaim his miracle healing, demonstrating to all attending the restored movement in his knee and thanking God for Bent, "that man of faith." God had now opened the doors for Bent's spiritual life and calling. Soon after, Bent's ministry was born and incorporated under the name of Great Among The Nations, Inc.

MIRACLE AFTER MIRACLE
In 1995, Bent's father in-law traveled from Mexico to California seeking medical attention for a crippling condition in his back. However, fear of doctors outweighed his paralyzing illness. Having been estranged from his family for decades he had nowhere to go. Learning of Bent's ministry, he sought his help. After shuffling into the room, hardly able to place one foot before the other, with a prayer of faith Bent thanked God for his healing. Witnesses gasped with joy as he immediately received a miracle healing. Bent's father-in-law cried with thanksgiving and moments later he was miraculously reconciled to his family.

He soon returned to his small village in Mexico and testified to the people how God intervened in his life. A demand grew for Bent and he soon held a healing crusade in Mexico where thousands of people attended, hearing of God and receiving healings.

Over the past 27 years, the Holy Spirit has lead Bent and provided the gifts as they were needed to be in service for the people. It was now obvious that Bent was purposely set aside to become a blessing to God's people. He continued building relationships with ministries around the world with meetings, conferences and workshops. He appeared on numerous television and radio programs defending the faith and preaching the good news. Purchasing an aircraft for transportation and video equipment for documentation, Great Among The Nations now has over 3,000 hours of recorded miracles, testimonies and many astounding events.

FROM HOPELESS BEGINNINGS TO WORLD MINISTRY
Raised in humble beginnings, destitute and wanting, God raised young Bent from a place of need to a man of service. Starting with just a simple prayer, he soon formed Great Among The Nations into a worldwide ministry. Pastor Altschul has been well received across denominational lines and international circles of Christian leadership. Traveling to many different countries, church leaders have unanimously professed, that Pastor Bent has a rare and humble servant's heart, and they experience their spirit leap within them as they join him in fellowship.

GOD'S END-TIME MESSAGE
An end-time message laid on Bent's heart was given to him at the time he was called by God. He has seen that we live in one of the most vulnerable but blessed times in church history. We are sandwiched between two gigantic prophetic events: Israel and the Church. "Awake, Prepare, He is Coming!"
