CHICAGO, June 27, 2013 /Christian Newswire/ -- The Thomas More Society celebrates its 15th anniversary of protecting life, marriage, and religious liberty with a celebratory gala.

WHAT: Thomas More Society 15th Anniversary Gala
    WHEN: Thursday, June 27, 6 p.m.
WHERE: Crystal Gardens at Navy Pier, Chicago
    MAP: goo.gl/maps/7apzA

Hundreds of American citizens, groups, and businesses have had their legal rights protected via the efforts of the Chicago-based non-profit law firm headed up by Tom Brejcha, president and chief counsel, Peter Breen, vice-president and senior counsel, and Ann Scheidler, chairman.

One of the Thomas More Society's celebrated clients, Lila Rose of Live Action News, will offer the evening's keynote. Lila gained notoriety for her numerous undercover investigations exposing corruption and illegal activity (including support for sex traffickers and pimps) at Planned Parenthood, the nation's biggest abortion chain. Thomas More Society provides the legal expertise to keep the news organization's exposés fully accessible to the public via YouTube, repulsing pro-abortion protests.

The Thomas More Society's first client, Pro-Life Action League founder Joe Scheidler, will present an historical overview of the Thomas More Society. Scheidler continues to garner press as the ultimate victor in the landmark multi-decade Supreme Court battle, "NOW v. Scheidler," in which the National Organization for Women and the nation's abortion industry brought federal antitrust, racketeering, and extortion charges against Scheidler's peaceable, non-violent pro-life activism, before losing twice, and decisively, at the Supreme Court. Twenty-eight years after the initial suit, the abortion plaintiffs are appealing once again, this time over costs issues.
