Ritz-Carlton staff are looking forward to group's return; FCCI was the only group that didn't cancel 2001 conference days after the 9/11 attacks and helped to save jobs

The last time FCCI held its global conference on Maui was in September of 2001, just days after the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Business and tourism travel to Hawaii plummeted, as worried event organizers and travelers cancelled events, flights and hotel bookings. FCCI was the only group that didn't cancel its conference at the Ritz-Carlton, which helped to preserve employees' jobs. Many staff members still work at the Ritz-Carlton 12 years later, and are looking forward to welcoming FCCI back.
Nationwide FCCI Fellows college intern program to be launched at conference
During the conference, an extensive new FCCI college internship program will be launched nationwide. Interns will be mentored by Christian business leaders during a 10-week period. Interested business students will be able to apply through November 15. After a methodical selection process, Summer 2014 interns will be announced in March.
Now in its 34th year, the FCCI global conference attracts a diverse mix of entrepreneurs, small business owners, corporate CEOs and their spouses. Attendees are encouraged, challenged and equipped to be genuinely Christian in how they conduct their personal lives and lead their organizations.
