ATLANTA, Sept. 30 /Christian Newswire/ -- Inspiring Southern Gospel and the heavenly harmonies of quartets will be heard and seen on Saturday nights -- Sunday mornings too -- as the popular Gospel Music Channel (GMC) series' Gaither Gospel Hour and Four: Southern Gospel's Best will be seen weekends starting this Saturday, Oct. 3. The majority of the Gaither Gospel Hour series features performances from the sell-out and legendary "Gaither Homecoming" annual concert tours that have drawn millions of fans. The series also includes occasional Gaither-produced specials such as "He Touched Me: The Gospel Music of Elvis Presley" and "The Gospel Music of Johnny Cash." One of the most successful and most honored artists in the history of Christian music, Bill Gaither has received four Grammys, 20 Dove awards, and the first Gold Record ever awarded to an inspirational album. GMC has renewed Four: Southern Gospel's Best for a second season, with production commencing at the National Quartet Convention (NQC) at the Kentucky Fair and Expo Center in Louisville, KY held this month. Season two of Four will debut on GMC in early 2010.
