SB 136 is unwarranted and necessary

SPRINGFIELD, Ill., Feb. 15, 2011 /Christian Newswire/ -- Advocates of homeschooling freedom will hold a press conference to discuss the Senate Education hearing on Senate Bill 136, a bill which would compel all parents or legal guardians of home or privately schooled students to register with the state.  Existing school code permits the voluntary registration of non-public school students with the state. If SB 136 were to pass, registration that is now voluntary would become compulsory.
