SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, Calif., July 31, 2012 /Christian Newswire/ -- Worship Leader magazine's NWLC (National Worship Leader Conference) is moving through its 6th year at an accelerated clip. With more attendees, more sponsors, more pre-registrations for 2013 at their premiere conference event in Leawood, Kansas, they are set to launch their first West Coast Conference in North San Diego.

This past July, worship leaders, arts pastors, church creatives, musicians, and devotional artists of every kind, traveled to Leawood, Kansas, for NWLC. Teams of every size, style, and faith tradition gathered to heed the clarion call to unite under the gospel and lead worship in remembrance of our Lord and true worship leader, Jesus Christ. NWLC 2012 featured 14 tracks and over 100 classes with attendees hailing from 45 states and seven nations. Undergirding the workshops were the daily general sessions and four nights of worship led this year by Crowder, Laura Story, Paul Baloche, Israel Houghton, the Rend Collective Experiment, Gateway Worship, Lenny LeBlanc, One Sonic Society, Audrey Assad, and many others with a total of over 16 worship bands and/or artists leading. The keynote speakers and worship faculty comprised leaders from theology, technology, visual media, music, and songwriting.

Presenting a comprehensive approach to the service of worship, NWLC has become an exemplar of worship leader training conferences worldwide. In addition to a rich supply of content for team leaders, there are sessions and workshops for pastors, band members, vocalists, tech teams, visual ministries, youth and children’s worship leaders, and more.

Kansas atendees are already talking:
This was my first worship conference. I had heard good things from others who have attended before, but none of those descriptions even came close to the inspiration, encouragement, affirmation, and education that I received this week. -- Betty Ost-Everley

Wonderful, fantastic, uplifting conference. I loved it and will be back! -- Steve McCullough

Thank you so much for helping me to experience a life-changing conference. I was empowered, inspired, and filled last week! -- Daniel Heath

It's funny, you go to a conference and imagine that perhaps you might learn something or meet somebody -- and then the Lord shows up in unexpected places. That is where the sweetest joy is found. I am so grateful for Worship Leader, for this National Conference, and the vast array of talent and experiences it makes available. -- Ashley Crothers

Coming to California
As Worship Leader magazine celebrates its 20th year of engaging with top worship artists, thinkers, and everyday worship professionals who are leading their churches each week, the conference expansion of NWLC is the next logical step. On October 9-11 NWLC will premiere in San Diego California for the first time in the the training event's history. The goal for California is for all who attend to engage with the Spirit of God in a new and ever-renewing way. "Our hope is that an entirely new community of atendees will discover the same life-changing experience as they encounter Jesus Christ and the gospel afresh. The unique context of NWLC -- its diversity of teachers and worship leaders and passion to keep Christ at the center -- has been a particular blessing to us as a company, and to the leaders that we are blessed to serve," says Chuck Fromm (Publisher and Founder, Worship Leader magazine and NWLC).
