New, Faith-Based Movie Studio Challenges the Status Quo
Contact: Jacque Edmonds Cofer, ChristianCinemaOnline, 818-314-9767

MEDIA ADVISORY, July 27 /Christian Newswire/ -- If ever there was a case of a market in search of a product, this is it: A group whose viewership of movies and television is twice that of the general population. Whose spending power, nearly $1 trillion annually by 2010, is extremely attractive to advertisers yet only five cable and network television shows feature them as leads. This group, over 90% of whom identify themselves as Christians, is largely upset with the images of themselves they see in mainstream media. This market is African Americans and they have painfully few entertainment options that reflect their lives, their humor, their intellect, their humanity or their faith. A new media company, ChristianCinemaOnline, has been created to meet that market need. Information about the company and its strategies can be found on its website www.ChristianCinemaOnline.com.

ChristianCinemaOnline's management team has award-winning experience producing high quality entertainment. Jacque Edmonds Cofer is a graduate of Princeton University and Harvard Business School. Since beginning her television writing and producing career she has led more than 200 episodes of network television while handling over $175 million of budgetary responsibility. She has worked on Martin, Living Single, Moesha, and All About the Andersons among other TV shows. A video of her work is on www.ChristianCinemaOnline.com. James Cofer, Jr., Ms. Cofer's husband, has over 20 years of entrepreneurial experience. He has profitably run his own company for more than a decade, specializing in wealth management and tax strategy and is also a Harvard Business School alumnus.

The Cofers created ChristianCinemaOnline after realizing the dearth of employment for African American creative talent and production crews in Hollywood, while at the same time looking at the high level of demand for and financial success of entertainment aimed at the black audience. "It's a perfect match," says co-CEO James Cofer, Jr.

ChristianCinemaOnline's will create "Made-Like-TV" movies. Its movies will feature lead actors who are well known to the target audience from their television work or status in the Christian music industry. Excellent music will be an integral part of each production. In addition ChristianCinemaOnline's movies are designed as sequels and trilogies employing the same cast and crew to lower production costs. Since the inception of ChristianCinemaOnline, the Cofers have engaged a dedicated group of experienced writers and producers to complete and budget four scripts, G-rated family comedies that are ready to go into production.
