/ -- The Hallmark Channel Original Movie “Though None Go With Me,” based on the best-selling novel by Jerry B. Jenkins, writer of the blockbuster "Left Behind Series," will release on DVD nationwide on Tuesday, September 5. Cheryl Ladd (“Las Vegas,” “Charlie’s Angels”) stars as Elizabeth Bishop, a woman who never waivers from her commitment to God no matter what tragedies await, in this highly-rated television movie that premiered in April 2006.
Taking its name from the classic hymn “Though None Go With Me,” the drama portrays the remarkable life story of Elizabeth Leroy Bishop, who as a young woman dedicates herself to follow God, although often feeling alone on her spiritual journey. As her story spans five decades of love and heartbreaking loss, Elizabeth discovers that she never was truly alone and that her dedication to God had a ripple effect on many lives. Elizabeth is played in her early 20s by Amy Grabow (“General Hospital”) and by Ladd from age 50 to 75.
Author Jenkins, who has penned more than 160 books including seven New York Times #1 bestsellers with sales exceeding 75 million copies, drew upon the faith of the women in his family to create this story of how dedication to Christ can transform not only your life but the lives of those who cross your path.
“Though None Go With Me” was the highest-rated ad-supported cable movie of the day when it premiered in April 2006. It was watched by nearly 3 million viewers and contributed to the Hallmark Channel experiencing its highest-rated April in its five year history.
The “Though None Go With Me” DVD special features include an excerpt from "The Rapture," a prequel to the best-selling "Left Behind Series" by Jerry B. Jenkins and Tim LaHaye, and a “Though None Go With Me” discussion guide.
RHI Entertainment presents “Though None Go With Me,” an Alpine Medien production in association with Larry Levinson Productions. GT Media, a fully-integrated, diversified international multimedia entertainment organization, has secured rights for distribution of the film into the home video market.
