BELLFLOWER, Calif., Sept. 23 /Christian Newswire/ -- Best-selling author Ray Comfort and actor Kirk Cameron, TV co-hosts of Way of the Master, have doubled their outreach to give-a-way 100,000 free copies of Charles Darwin's seminal book Origin of Species--considered an atheist's holy bible that contains the blueprint for evolutionary theory. If you are thinking "come again?" you should know the popular TV ministers' 304-page version shares the gospel and intelligent design theory in an updated introduction, designed to clear up the pervasive mistake that Darwin did not believe in the existence of God. (Watch YouTube video featuring Cameron and Comfort). This special outreach is being co-sponsored by Campus Crusade for Christ, Alliance Defense Fund and Answers in Genesis.

Comfort cites a recent Wall Street Journal article, titled "Man vs. God" that pits atheism against God, and wrongly depicts Darwin as going head-to-head with God.

Comfort says of the common gaffe, "The newspaper is free to publish anything they wish, but they are revealing either ignorance or a strong bias. Darwin wasn't anti-God at all. In his famous book Origin of Species, Darwin refers to creation as the 'works of God,' and calls Him the 'Creator' an amazing seven times!"

The book also allows readers to discover for themselves that some other of history's most prolific scientists actually believed that God created the universe. They include Albert Einstein, Isaac Newton, Nicholas Copernicus, Francis Bacon, Michael Faraday, Louis Pasteur and Johannes Kepler.

Comfort and Cameron's big give--which increased from 50,000 to 100,000 books--will launch on 50 top U.S. university campuses on November 19, just days before the 150th anniversary of the publication of Darwin's magnum opus. "We are very excited to give away Origin of Species because it exposes atheistic evolution's many hoaxes and the unscientific belief that nothing created everything," Comfort continues.

Their eye-opening initiative will coincide with the release of Comfort's new book on September 22, titled Nothing Created Everything: The Scientific Impossibility of Atheistic Evolution ( World Net Daily Books, available at WND Superstore and soon on Amazon.com). It debunks a popular view introduced by contemporary atheist Richard Dawkins, who, in 2004, wrote in his book The Ancestor's Tale, "The fact that life evolved out of nearly nothing, some 10 billion years after the universe evolved literally out of nothing--is a fact so staggering that I would be mad to attempt words to do it justice."

Comfort sums up his thoughts about Dawkins' theory in Nothing Created Everything. "There's no way to say it kindly, but such thoughts show that the atheist doesn't think, and prove the Bible right when it says that the fool has said in his heart that there is no God."

Ray Comfort has sold more than one million copies of "The Atheist Test," debated atheists on ABC’s Nightline, and is known to be "Internationally hated by atheists." He blogs daily to hundreds of atheists at "Atheist Central."

Best known as the teen heartthrob Mike Seaver of the award winning series Growing Pains, Kirk Cameron also played "Buck Williams" from the Left Behind films, and starred in the top-grossing indie film, Fireproof.
