Internationally Acclaimed Self-taught Christian Sculptor Creates Life Prizes Award Statue

WASHINGTON, Jan. 21 /Christian Newswire/ -- Self-taught Christian Artist Tom White has created the award statue for the Norinne A. and Raymond E. Ruddy Memorial Life Prizes Program 2008 which will be presented to six honored pro-life recipients at a ceremony at the National Building Museum on January 23, 2009.

Lubbock, TX, - Tom White is creating the Brooks Wallace National Player of the Year Award Trophy for the College Baseball Foundation and the College Baseball Hall of Fame. The award trophy will be presented to this year's recipient at a 3-day celebration of college baseball over the 4th of July in Lubbock. White will continue to create upcoming sculptures for the CBF Hall of Fame which will be built in Lubbock.

England - White solidified his international reputation with his recent depiction of Sir Barnes Wallis, a British engineer and inventor of the bouncing bomb in WWII depicted in the movie "The Dam Busters". Tom & Marcey White attended the dedication on 11/15/08 on the Herne Bay Cultural Trail, Kent, England, among other dignitaries.

Chicago, IL - Tom created a monument of Irish Labor Leader, James Connolly, placed in Union Park on 10/23/08 attended by Mayor Richard M. Daley, Frank O'Lone and other labor leaders. Mr. O'Lone, Pres. of the Irish American Labor Council and Secretary-Treasurer of CBTC, discovered the work of White via an internet search and was impressed with his detail and ability to capture both features and spirit. The maquette White created of the monument will be used as an annual award given by the IALC.

Big Piney, WY - White installed an 8 ft. Vietnam Soldier into the Plainview Cemetery on 11/1/08 honoring soldiers from all eras. It is one of the premier war memorials in the country.

Angelton, TX - White will sculpt MOH Recipient Clarence Sasser along with a Gold Star Mom for the Wall of Honor War Memorial, Brazoria County Courthouse.
