NEW YORK, Feb. 17, 2011 /Christian Newswire/ -- In its ongoing web series featuring stories of connection and inspiration among the people of the Anglican Communion, Trinity Wall Street has released a new video focused on the Cathedral of St. James in Toronto, Canada. The video is another segment of the parish's Anglican Communion Stories series, which tells stories of hope and partnership within the wider Church.

Anglican Communion Stories includes episodes from South America, Africa, Europe, and across the United States. Upcoming installments will explore communities in the Dominican Republic and Haiti.

At St. James, Trinity Wall Street's senior producer Jim Melchiorre found a cathedral bursting with imaginative and active ministry, its sanctuary given over to care for the body and the soul. In addition to regular, well-attended worship services, the church is a site for podiatric services, haircuts, and feeding programs for people in need.

"I went to St. James expecting to find an historic cathedral, planted by Empire," said Melchiorre. "What I found was not a museum of the past, but rather a living and breathing community of faith and service -- dramatically so."

"I would encourage anyone interested in the possibilities and promise of ministry to watch this video," said Linda Hanick, chief communications officer at Trinity Wall Street. "The series was first conceived by Trinity Wall Street in response to the many stories of mission we saw emerging from Trinity's grant partners. We've expanded the series to include compelling stories of ministry throughout the Communion."

The wider world is also beginning to take notice of the series. Episodes from Anglican Communion Stories have won a number of industry awards, and NBC television will air later this year a one-hour documentary devoted to the stories.

The story of St. James and the full Anglican Communion catalogue are available for viewing at Trinity Wall Street's website. All stories are embeddable, easily shared, and come with the producer's background material and behind the scenes information.
