Evangelism International Holds Another Gospel Crusade in Southeast Asia

Contact: Gene Strickland, 757-409-0348

CHESAPEAKE, Va., Oct. 7, 2013 /Christian Newswire/ -- As the first night of the evening events drew closer there was great concern as to whether the crusade should be cancelled. Many of those who would attend are dependent on state run busses. However, there was an ongoing strike that had shut the bus services down. What would happen without this major form of transportation?

What satan meant for defeat, God turned into a sweet victory. Despite that transportation challenge, evangelist Gene Strickland preached the Gospel to crowds of non-believers numbering nearly eight thousand. 60%, or 4,862, prayed to receive Jesus Christ! By the power of God many were healed of their afflictions.

A man named Kantha had been paralyzed for 6 long years. He was lame and thought he'd never walk again. But through the power of prayer, Kantha received his miracle and now is totally healed!

There was also a woman named Laxmi who had been demon possessed for 40 years. That's FORTY years! Laxmi received her miracle and is now of sound mind through Jesus Christ!

Then there was a woman named Sharah who had suffered with migraine headaches for 30 years. God heard the prayer for her healing and now she is able to go about her day-to-day life without the terrible headaches.

At Evangelism International they are already planning for the work they will be doing in Africa in just a few months. Gene Strickland has been given a very significant opportunity to have a profound effect for the Gospel all across the continent of Africa. Two conferences will be held in which hundreds of bishops and pastors from all across the continent of Africa will attend. The first conference will be in the National Cathedral in Abuja, Nigeria. The second conference will be held in the capital of Accra, Ghana.

Rev. Strickland has been asked to address those attending and give them an encouragement for evangelism. He intends to challenge them like they've never been challenged before. He wants there to be no doubt what they are to be pouring their lives out for -- for the rescue of the billions of lost souls across the nations of Africa.

"This is taking multiplication to the next level", Strickland remarked. He continued with the question, "What will take place when all these bishops and pastors get impassioned for Jesus and take the evangelistic message of the Gospel back to their cities and countries?" Though Evangelism International has seen over 26,000 come to faith in Jesus Christ in the last four years, Strickland believes this could be their greatest harvest to date.

The question, "if not us, who; if not now, when?" has been attributed to everyone from John Kennedy to Ronald Reagan. In these last days, Rev. Strickland encourages every church and every follower of Christ to drop the shackles of apathy and useless busyness and to rescue every one they can for Jesus.
