Church Attendance Triples During Christmas; Know Before You Go with New Advent Book
Contact: Jean Cooksey, Advent for Kids, 702-353-5193

LAS VEGAS, Nov.26, 2012 /Christian Newswire/ -- As parents look forward to church attendance during the Christmas season, a new book can help prepare kids and adults for the special worship services surrounding the birth of Jesus. "Children's Book of Advent: 25 Days with Jesus" shares 25 days of Scripture, explanations and original artwork to help children and their families understand the keystone weeks of Advent.

"Many families value the singular and joyous experience of Christmas Eve and Christmas Day services, but they also may have questions about the Biblical background," explains Publisher Jean Cooksey. "This book was created to give families basic knowledge about the birth of Jesus and how His arrival is foretold in the Bible."

"Children's Book of Advent" is authored by a pastor with 25 years' experience and illustrated by a graduate of Concordia University Irvine, with Scripture provided by NET Bible®.

Barely three weeks after its publication, "Children's Book of Advent: 25 Days with Jesus" is also on its way to share the Advent season with children in the Central African country of Malawi.

"The kids might have a new bike at Christmas, wear a new pair of jeans, have candies … but it cannot replace the book as a special Christmas present," says Pastor Edward Mikwamba, of Rapha Communications Agency and a leader of the Christian Apologetics Ministry in Malawi.

"Pastor Edward approached us for hundreds of copies of the book, and we are pleased to start with 200 books this year," notes Cooksey. "We are also working with Pastor Edward to develop a version in the Chichewa language to reach even more kids."
