ATLANTA, Jan. 12, 2011 /Christian Newswire/ -- GMC, America's favorite channel for uplifting music and family entertainment, announced today that its next World Premiere Movie, "What If...," has been awarded the coveted PTC Seal of Approval(tm) by the Parents Television Council. The movie will premiere on Sunday, Jan. 30 at 7 p.m. ET with encores that night at 9 and 11.

In awarding its PTC Seal of Approval to "What If…," the PTC wrote: "What If... powerfully explores the choices people make every day, the opportunity God gives them, and the regrets they may have if they choose wrongly. In the best tradition of film, the movie is not merely entertainment, but causes a viewer to reevaluate his or her own life, and thank God for the blessings he or she has received. Because of its powerful lessons about what is important in life, the Parents Television Council is proud to award What If... with the PTC Seal of Approval(tm).

"What If..." is the heartwarming story of Ben Walker, who 15 years earlier left his college sweetheart Wendy and his calling to be a preacher in order to pursue a business opportunity. Now with a high-paying executive position, a "trophy" fiancé and a new Mercedes, he goes on a thrill ride where his car mysteriously breaks down. He meets an angel named Mike, who is sent to show Ben what his life would have been like had he followed his true calling. The film stars Kevin Sorbo, Kristy Swanson and John Ratzenberger.
