Fr. Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life, today praised the Nebraska legislature for passing the Abortion Pain Prevention Act, a measure that would bar abortions on unborn babies 20 weeks or older.

"Until now, our laws have shown greater concern for laboratory animals and cattle that are slaughtered than for babies in the womb," said Fr. Pavone. "With the Abortion Pain Prevention Act, Nebraska is beginning to change this. Every state should look to do the same."
