Four Newly Elected, One Reappointed

WINCHESTER, Va., April 6 /Christian Newswire/ -- The Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA) has named four new members to its board of directors and reappointed another.
The new board members are Care Net President Melinda Delahoyde, speaker and radio host Cheryl Martin, HCJB President Wayne Pederson and World Vision President Richard Stearns. Mark Holbrook, president/CEO of Evangelical Christian Credit Union, was reappointed. ECFA members serve three-year terms.
"This new, diverse board of outstanding leaders is a cross-section of the evangelical community and will enable ECFA to continue meeting the needs of our members and assuring donors of its commitment to stewardship," said ECFA President Dan Busby.
Delahoyde has 25 years’ experience in the pro-life movement. She has served as consultant, special projects director and board chairperson since the inception of Care Net (www.care-net.org), the largest network of pregnancy centers in North America. Prior to her work with Care Net, Delahoyde led educational outreach for Americans United for Life.
Martin (www.cherylmartin.org) is a popular radio host and speaker for churches, colleges, corporations and community and government institutions. She also hosts the weekly radio broadcast, "Excellent Living." She is based in Bethesda, Md.
Pederson is a longtime media professional. Before joining HCJB Global (www.hcjb.org), he served with Northwestern College Radio, Moody Broadcasting and the National Religious Broadcasters.
Since 1998, Stearns has overseen World Vision operations, including fund-raising, advocacy and international program support. World Vision (www.worldvision.org), one of the largest Christian relief and development organizations in the world, serves more than 60 million people in approximately 90 countries, including the United States. Sterns has more than 25 years of corporate experience in his position, including as president/CEO of Lenox, a leading manufacturer of fine china.
Reelected to ECFA's board is Holbrook, who began his career in 1975 with Evangelical Christian Credit Union (www.eccu.org), a leading banking resource for churches and other evangelical ministries. Four years later Holbrook was named to the top ECCU management position. He has ministered for 37 years at Grace Church in Orange, Calif., where he is a teaching elder. He also has served as board chairman for the Christian Leadership Alliance.
