SANTA ANA, Calif., July 12, 2011 /Christian Newswire/ -- Open Doors USA President/CEO Dr. Carl Moeller will speak at a major religious freedom forum called "Stop Religious Persecution Now! An Interactive Discussion for People of All Faiths" in Washington, D.C. on Wednesday, July 13.

The program will call attention to the persecution of various religions around the world. Delegates from numerous faith groups will be in attendance, as well as congressional and administration representatives, human rights activists, media and advocates from religious freedom organizations.

The conference seeks to provide direction to members of Congress, the State Department, the  media and to countries that persecute religious minorities. Stop Religious Persecution Now! aspires to bring groups together on the common theme of coalition, influencing Congress to hold hearings on religious persecution and how to work with media and social networks on religious persecution issues.

"I am honored to participate and speak at Stop Religious Persecution Now! because it not only focuses on Christians who face persecution, but people of all faiths who are persecuted for their beliefs," says Moeller. "Nearly every global faith is represented at this conference. We will be able to discuss crucial issues concerning religious persecution and how to present these concerns to the media and Congress."

The forum will be held at the Washington Times from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Moeller and David Hegg are the authors of a popular new book called "The Privilege of Persecution" (Moody Publishers). Moeller just completed a successful round of interviews on the book at the International Christian Retail Show in Atlanta. For more information on the book, go to www.theprivilegeofpersecution.com.
