MEDIA ADVISORY, Sept. 7 /Christian Newswire/ -- Parents are learning of medical conditions adopted international children bring into their homes when they arrive in America from third-world countries. Author Lorilyn Roberts shares the shocking story of the medical nightmare that accompanied adoption papers. As a single parent, she was thrilled to build her family through adoption. Imagine Lorilyn's surprise when her daughter Manisha developed seizures, which led to finding a 5-year-old parasite growing in her brain.

This story has captured the attention of media, and was featured on Animal Planet's Monsters Inside Me program recently. Watch the show, read the book, interview Lorilyn, and learn how to easily prevent this devastating illness, which is a leading cause of seizures in the developing world.

About the book:
Children of Dreams is more than an adoption story set in the remotest regions of the planet. Facing insurmountable odds -- communist blockades, life-threatening illness, betrayal and deceit -- Lorilyn's story of courage and determination to never give up is moving and powerful.

Children of Dreams captures the inspiring story of stolen dreams transformed into life-changing hope. See how adoption comes full circle as adopted-daughter Lorilyn adopts two destitute children. Each valley and mountaintop experience in the book inspires readers to endure. The timeless theme of God's faithfulness and redemption weaves through the book, comparing the legal process of adoption to His heavenly adoption process.

Praise for Children of Dreams:
The story is compelling, heart-warming, thrilling, and to describe it as an adventure is an understatement. -- Carol DeMar, American Vision
