LITHONIA, Ga., April 21 /Christian Newswire/ -- The first Annual Kingdomwood Christian Film Festival (KCFF) www.kingdomwood.com will be held Thursday, October 9th thru Saturday, October 11 in Atlanta, Georgia. Founders of the festival, Audrey Thomas and Joe Williams of Driven Film Developers and Angela Smith EJA Communications, Inc. are finalizing plans for locations and screening sites. The organizers are developing a festival that will serve an underserved market in the film audience, the Christian audience.

Plans for the festival include screenings of shorts, documentaries and features; panels and workshops on industry trends in faith-based filmmaking; a youth short film competition and mentoring program, opening night reception and closing night gospel awards show. KCFF also plans to partner with a major studio to screen a first run release at the festival opening.

KCFF will promote the works of independent filmmakers who are producing films with faith-based story lines. Kingdomwood is now accepting film submissions and Filmmakers are encouraged to submit short, features and documentaries for screening consideration and competition.
