LOUISVILLE, Ky., April 7, 2011 /Christian Newswire/ -- Catholic youth and young adults received top honors by Goodness Reigns in its 2011 "Share the Story" short film contest.

In January, filmmakers -- from beginners to experts ages 14 and older -- submitted their videos for the contest. Forty-four youth ministers and media professionals participated in three rounds of judging the 64 eligible films, including a final panel of distinguished judges who commented on the project.

"Goodness Reigns is an amazing opportunity to encourage young Catholic filmmakers to creatively express and communicate the Catholic faith as well as their personal faith," said Sr. Helena Burns, FSP, media educator and movie reviewer for "Catholic New World." "The imagination and ingenuity shown by the contestants is remarkable. Whether profound or entertaining, there is an abundance of talent and hope here!"
