MISHAWAKA, Ind., May 12 /Christian Newswire/ -- Production company Fresh Fruit Films released its trailer today for upcoming Christian family video series "Fresh Fruit Pie."
The new series is a resource for parents and childrens' pastors to help kids build good attitudes through Biblical values. It presents moral challenges through a variety of live-action skits in a format similar to the hit TV show "Saturday Night Live."
Carl Obremski, the director of Fresh Fruit Pie, noticed the deteriorating quality of family-friendly content in the marketplace in 2009 and began development of a values-driven show that would deliver the excitement and energy needed to compete for the attention of today's media-saturated kids.
"Kids in our ADD culture find most wholesome shows boring," says Obremski. "This generation of youngsters would rather watch fun and immoral content than something good for them. With Fresh Fruit Pie, we provide the visceral, fun entertainment they crave while promoting morals parents wish to teach."
Fresh Fruit Pie takes a unique approach to biblical principles by creating a tantalizing environment for discussion through the show's content. Director Obremski believes that the parent-child relationship is just as important for building values as the morals portrayed in his project.
"Teens and older kids dislike having philosophies forced down their throats," he explains. "Giving them an experience that relates well to their lives along with a fun discussion afterward is a much more natural and effective way to encourage good attitudes."
Each episode in the 9-part DVD series will focus on a "Fruit of the Spirit" theme found in Galatians 5:22: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness, and self-control. Fresh Fruit Pie's first episode, entitled "Party," centers on 'Joy' and will launch on DVD Fall 2010.
