PORTLAND, Ore., Nov. 15 /Christian Newswire/ -- All God's Children International (AGCI), the Portland based non-profit adoption and orphan care agency, announced a new development campaign entitled "Orphan Care 2011." This effort will raise awareness and funding for targeted projects around the world, each designed to fulfill AGCI's mission to improve the lives of the world's forgotten children.

"When you realize that every fourteen seconds another child becomes an orphan, it's clear we must answer the call to help," said Hollen Frazier, AGCI's Executive Director. "There are ways for everyone to help these children, whether through adoption, mission trips, prayer, or by supporting our Orphan Care 2011 projects."

By partnering with local orphanages and agencies, AGCI's orphan care projects span seven countries. These efforts include the following:

United States: Children in need within the Oregon Foster Care program will receive Back-To-School backpacks filled with necessary supplies.

Bulgaria: Construction of a Creative Development Center within the orphanage at Kaspichan, to provide new educational opportunities for the children.

China: Medical professionals will train caregivers from orphanages around Beijing on proper physical therapy techniques and treatment.

Ethiopia: Two local orphanages that had been closed by the government for sub-standard conditions will be refurbished to help provide a quality living environment to care for orphans.

Rwanda: The boy's dormitory at a remote orphanage that cares for over 650 youth will be repaired and upgraded.

Taiwan: Conditions at the Morning Light crisis pregnancy home will be improved, in order to expand efforts to provide counseling and care to unwed mothers and their children.

Mexico: Facility upgrades and installation of insulation at a ranch that houses 29 orphans and homeless children, many with special needs.

The Orphan Care 2011 campaign will provide the necessary funds to accomplish these and additional projects, while AGCI's Embrace Missions teams will provide the hands and heart that put it all into action. This collaboration will strengthen AGCI's ability to bring hope and help to those who need it most.

Further details and online donation opportunities are available at the campaign website, www.OrphanCare2011.org or on AGCI's home page at www.AllGodsChildren.org.
