PISCATAWAY, NJ, July 27 /Christian Newswire/ -- Life's a journey filled with struggles, triumphs and victories. Author Sandra H. McKoy takes readers through a single mother's journey and her decision to place her son in foster care in the book God's Diamond Among Rocks, published by AuthorHouse.

"I wanted to give parents encouragement to have hope," said McKoy. "My purpose for the book is to bring hope to the hopeless."

McKoy has lived by these guiding principles her entire life -- and she practices what she preaches. In 2002, McKoy started Touch Love Ministries Incorporated, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing a home for abandoned infants and children under the age of five. She has since encountered numerous obstacles in her quest for funding from the government. New Jersey no longer provides money to start-up homes for children under the age of five.

Still, McKoy refuses to give up on her dream. The author has participated in two walk-a-thons. released a CD and started the for-profit company, Little Jewel LLC to raise the money needed to open her children's home.

"I have made it my life's mission to help children," said McKoy. "I will not quit until my dream of providing a home for abandoned children becomes a reality."

God's Diamond Among Rocks is an inspirational book that leaves its readers with a feeling of hope. It is meant to encourage, convey strength, perseverance and that anything is possible if you are determined to make it happen.
