ORLANDO, Fla., Oct. 3, 2012 /Christian Newswire/ -- My Christian Films (MCF) is excited to announce the launching of its' new International Christian Film Festival. Amateurs and professionals alike are invited to join in the competition by submitting their films before March 31, 2013.

Categories for this year's festival include feature film, short film, documentary, comedy skit, music video, animation, church/ministry commercial, movie trailer and camera phone/tablet. The purpose of this festival is to provide unique opportunities of advancement for local, national, and international Christian filmmakers.

"It is hard for Christian filmmakers to break the barriers of equity and access in the film industry. As a result, I decided to establish the International Christian Film Festival that will create an avenue for Christian filmmakers to share their vision with the world," said Marty Jean-Louis, founder and president of the International Christian Film Festival.

Judges will evaluate each submission for original content, quality, composition, sound, lighting, and acting. $5,000 in cash prize, along with a camera, television airtime through our television partners, and interviews will be up for grabs. Additional prizes and awards will be released at a later date.

Filmmakers are strongly encouraged to submit their films before December 1, 2012 in order to receive the early bird special starting from $20- $30. After December 1st, the normal fee of $30 -$40 will be required for submission based on the category that the filmmaker chose for submission.

"The International Christian Film Festival is unlike any other film festival in the world -- it's completely virtual," said Jean-Louis. "Through this, filmmakers from all over the world will not only have an effective way to submit their projects, but also a convenient way. The sole idea of this festival is to keep Christian filmmakers encouraged about making films that are positive, family friendly and faith-based."

All media including TV, Radio and Print are encouraged to be a part of this wonderful festival that will help all Christian media.
