ESCONDIDO, Calif., Nov. 29, 2011 /Christian Newswire/ -- What does James Linzey have in common with legends Ray Price, Marilyn McCoo and Billy Davis, Jr., Billy Preston, the Emotions, Johnny Rodriquez, Dave Boyer, and others? They've shared the same stage. What does he have in common with Elton John? Elton's guitarist Caleb Quaye.

Movie producer Janice Hollis interviewed Jim about his Narrow Road CD, featuring Caleb Quaye who played for Liza Minnelli, Elton John, Beach Boys, and others. Jim said, "Caleb's playing gave the CD a unique style and provided me the inspiration to be vocally creative. He greatly motivated me." CD Producer Chuck Girard brought together many big names to make the CD happen with Jim Linzey as the headliner.

No stranger to the cameras and lights, Jim has appeared on all major television networks including ABC, CBS, NBC, TBN, Daystar, GLC, and CNN. He had his own shows at the legendary Alamo Village where John Wayne filmed The Alamo, and hosted Operation Freedom television programs. Recently he starred in the movie Iniquity, an updated version of the story of David and Bathsheba. His role was that of a military chaplain.

"Narrow Road stirs the soul," said Jim. "It moves people toward the saving power of Jesus Christ. The musical compositions were simply incredible. The Spirit of God anointed this recording. We invoked the presence of God in the recording studio before the sessions," Jim continued. "This record speaks to people in the midst of any kind of experience, because that is what Scripture does. My heart goes out to the brokenhearted. I empathize with them and hope to speak to them through my concerts and recordings."

Jim added, "I pray that suffering people will remember to call on God. He will empower them to go through trials, not to be stuck in them. There are answers, but usually the right answers are the toughest decisions to make. The question becomes 'Do I have enough strength to make the right decision?' Consistency in the Word and praying and acting on faith that God will lead me has always been part of my spiritual formation and philosophy in life. And I encourage everyone to do likewise if they truly want God to empower them for success."

A graduate of Fuller Theological Seminary, Jim Linzey is senior editor of the King James Version (2011). A release date will soon be announced.
